Ellie Boomer

CPO, LPO, FAAOP
Residency Director & Clinical Educational Manager

Ellie Boomer, CPO, LPO, FAAOP brings over 25 years of specialized experience to CPO Decatur. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (FAAOP) and a former chair of the Craniofacial Society, Ellie is a recognized expert in pediatric orthotics and Cranial Remolding Orthoses (CRO). Her passion for cranial care began during the early days of laser-scanning technology, fueled by the belief that these devices offer a unique opportunity to achieve more precise correction for infants.

Ellie’s clinical journey started at high-acuity institutions like UC Davis Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Boston. Today, she balances her roles as a practitioner and Clinical Educational Manager with a philosophy of limitless potential. She works closely with families to turn their goals into reality, building custom tools that ensure no physical challenge stands in the way of a patient's goals.

Beyond her technical mastery, Ellie is known for her empathy and joy in serving the Decatur community. Whether treating complex pediatric cases or providing adult prosthetic care, she treats every patient’s wish as a feasible goal, listening intently to provide care that is as compassionate as it is clinically precise.
