Continue on US-30 for 10 miles. You will turn right on Austin Ave, after the Circle K Gas Station, and continue for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Hwy 330, and take your first right onto Junction Ave. Turn right at Kennedy Ave and continue for 1.5 miles until you come to the intersection of Kennedy Ave and Main St. Turn left on Main St. and continue past Hwy 41, then turn right onto Plum Creek Dr. Your destination will be after the Veterinary Orthopedic Center on the right.

Dustin Phelps
C-Ped, POA
(Area Practice Manager & Patient Care Provider – CPO Indiana)
Dustin Phelps is an Area Practice Manager and veteran care provider serving CPO’s Indiana locations. As a third-generation practitioner, Dustin’s expertise in Orthotics and Prosthetics is a family legacy; following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he has spent 23 years mastering every facet of the field. He is a Certified Pedorthist, Orthotic Fitter, and Prosthetic & Orthotic Assistant with an extensive background in custom fabrication.
Dustin’s best-in-class technical skills allow him to fine-tune and adjust devices to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. His technical versatility even extends to unique veterinary cases—he has famously crafted prosthetic and orthotic solutions for a golden retriever, a donkey, and even a camel named Moe!
Whether working with humans or animals, Dustin’s philosophy remains the same: Listen first to understand the patient’s unique expectations, then provide the education necessary to make their transition into a new device seamless. By balancing high-level technical precision with a "family-first" approach, Dustin ensures his patients can continue their lives with confidence and minimal impediment.

Megan Haddad
Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)
Megan Haddad is board-certified in Prosthetics and Orthotics by the American Board for Certification (ABC), with experience in designing and fitting custom prosthetic and orthotic devices to improve mobility and quality of life for her patients. After earning her master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University, Megan completed further clinical training during residency, where she developed expertise in both upper and lower limb prosthetics as well as orthotic devices for various musculoskeletal conditions.
Megan’s approach centers on individualized care, collaborating with each patient to understand their unique needs, lifestyle, and goals. She is passionate about providing innovative solutions that restore function, alleviate pain, and enhance independence. Specializing in both pediatric and adult care, Megan has been helping individuals regain confidence and mobility through
customized advanced prosthetic and orthotic solutions.
Megan is part of the Northwest Indiana team, serving patients primarily in Crown Point and Highland. She looks forward to fostering meaningful relationships and working closely within the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, holistic care for her patients.

Mike Fender
Certified Orthotic Fitter (CFo)
Mike Fender is a Board-Certified Orthotic Fitter at CPO Highland, where he specializes in prefabricated Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine before pursuing his CFO certification, bringing a strong clinical foundation to every patient interaction.
With three years of experience across both clinical and hospital settings, Mike provides expert fittings for a wide variety of orthopedic supports. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring that every individual he treats receives the proper equipment and education to support their recovery. His expertise in the diverse needs of hospital-based care makes him a vital part of the Highland healthcare team.
