How to Use the CyberCross TLSO

The CyberCross TLSO is designed to stabilize the thoracic and lumbar spine, support proper posture, and limit unwanted movement during recovery. To ensure the brace provides the intended level of support, follow the steps demonstrated in the CyberCross TLSO instructional video and the accompanying PDF wear-and-care guide. Always wear the brace over a clean, snug-fitting shirt and follow your physician's or Comprehensive Prosthetics and Orthotics clinician's recommendations for daily wear.

How to Put On the CyberCross TLSO
  1. Open the side strap and tensioner before putting on the brace.
  2. Position the back panel so it is centered on your back.
  3. Place the sternal pad in the center of your chest, just below your collarbones.
  4. Position the lower pad just above your beltline.
  5. Bring the side strap around your body and attach it to the front panel.
  6. Listen for a click to confirm the side strap is securely connected to the pin.
  7. Check that the chest and lower pads remain in the correct position.
  8. Close the tensioner to tighten the brace until it feels secure and supportive without causing discomfort.
How to Remove the CyberCross TLSO
  1. Open the tensioner to release pressure from the brace.
  2. Place your thumb inside the side strap loop.
  3. Push the loop across your body toward your left side to disconnect it from the pin.
  4. Listen for a click to confirm the side strap has been released.
  5. Carefully remove the brace.
  6. After removing the CyberCross TLSO, inspect your skin for redness or irritation. If redness lasts longer than 15 minutes or you experience soreness, take a photo of the affected area and contact your Comprehensive Prosthetics and Orthotics office.

Cleaning and Caring for Your CyberCross TLSO

Proper care helps extend the life of your CyberCross TLSO and keeps it comfortable to wear. Clean the brace regularly with mild soap and warm water, then allow it to air-dry completely before wearing it again. Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the brace materials. The CyberCross TLSO should always be worn over a shirt rather than directly against your skin to help reduce irritation and improve comfort.

For the best results, follow your prescribed wearing schedule and review the CyberCross TLSO instructional video and downloadable PDF whenever you need a refresher on proper application, removal, cleaning, or daily care. If you have questions about the fit or function of your brace, contact your Comprehensive Prosthetics and Orthotics clinician for assistance.
